Charles kanneh American History Thomas Jefferson is one of the founding Fathers of our country. Jefferson was one of the most inspirational members of history that led me to doing a research project about him. Thomas Jefferson was born to Peter Jefferson on April 13 1743. Peter Jefferson was a planter and surveyor which was a very important job back then. This meant he had some type of wealth to his name.Thomas Jefferson mother was Jane Randolph who was the daughter of a well know family with wealth.Jefferson attended the College of William and Mary where he studied Greek, Latin, and French. Jefferson also studied law for a number of years.Jefferson was knew him as a tall sandy haired and freckled horsemen and a great violin player. Jefferson suffered the loss of his father Peter Jefferson. Jefferson was left with 3000 acres of land and 30 slaves. At age 26 Jefferson began working on a house of Monticello. In italian it means for little mountain. Jefferson designed the house,gardens and workshops all by himself but the hand work was left to skilled slaves,who tended to it on the regular. Jefferson cherished Monticello very much and this showed because he took notes on everything,The weather, the trees, and the slaves.This diary he kept is the reason we know this much about this part of his life.
